Today we examined the movements of the earth as it relates to the theme of location. Discussion was held on the rotation, revolution and tilt of the earth. Also, we examined lines of latitude and longitude to find the absolute location of places on the globe. What did you learn from our reading and discussion? Do you know why the seasons change?

Today I learned that the earth is tilted on it's axis and becuase of this tilt, sunlight strikes different parts of Earth at different times of the year, creating seasons. On the Fall and Spring Equinox the Northern and Southern Hemisphere recieve an equal amount of Sunlight and darkness.Hense the term equinox.
