P7 World History

Today, students completed the enrichment activity and reviw for a test. We also did our history rap. So, tell me your thoughts!!!!

P6 World History

Today students in World History compared and contrasted Cro Magnon and Homo Habilis. We also reviewed for a quiz on Wednesday. What did you learn today and are you prepared for the test on tomorrow? I need to hear from you!!!

P5 World History

Today we continued our enrichment and review activity on the development of prehistoric people. We began reviewing for a test. Let me hear from you and don't forget to study for your test on Thursday.

P4 World Geography

Today students completed their foldables and decorated them artistically. They looked really nice. Tell me what you know about the five themes of geography?

P3-World Geography

Today students compared map projections, small and large scale maps. We also read and discussed latitude and longitude lines. What are other names for latitude and longitude lines? What are the names of some of the map projections that we compared today? What's the difference between large and small scale maps? Let me hear your thoughts!!

P1 World Geography

Extended stay in the cafeteria and then on to homeroom for SGA elections and finally to WG class. What are your thoughts on today's first period activities.

P7 World History

Categorizing characteristics and achievements of prehistoric man is what the class did today. What did you learn about the development of mankind? What were the Neolithic and Paleolithic Ages? What lead to the development of agriculture and how did it spread? I look forward to reading your ideas and reflections.

P6 World History

Today we read and discussed the origins and development of prehistoric people. We read, discussed and plotted a class timeline of the Neolithic and Paleolithic periods. We discussed the fossil of Lucy, tools and artifacts found by archaeologists at excavations sites in East Africa.

P5 World History

Today, we completed and enrichment activity categorizing characteristics and achievements of prehistoric man. We compared and contrasted the Neolithic and Paleolithic Ages as well as examined the cause and spread of agriculture during the Neolithic Revolution.

P4 World Geography

Today we started making foldables. They describe the five themes of geography. These themes help us to unify the ideas of geography. The foldables list each theme, a characteristic and example that relates to that particular theme. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about this creative activity.

P3-World Geography

Today we conpleted foldables on the five themes of geography. Some of you are really artistic. I like the designs that you made. Students then began reading about the five fields of learning that make up Social Studies. I want to hear what you thought about our activities in class.

P1 World Geography

Today we examined the movements of the earth as it relates to the theme of location. Discussion was held on the rotation, revolution and tilt of the earth. Also, we examined lines of latitude and longitude to find the absolute location of places on the globe. What did you learn from our reading and discussion? Do you know why the seasons change?
