P1 World Geograpy

Students will review weather and climate and make a climate graph. Today Ms.Fowlkes reviewed with us about the affects of latitude, elevation, and water proximity on climate. We also studied a climate graph of sao Paulo, Brazil. It showed Temperature and precipitation. Then we created a graph.Well I'm out peace!

Today my teacher was out ,so we did not have an objective.We did a worksheet on Booker T. Washington.He was born during slavery time.In 1863,after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued,his family was realesed from slavery.He walked 500 miles to Hampton and took a train the remaining 60 miles.Booker T. Washington was admited into Hampton, Viginia college when he took a broom and swept the room clean.Booker T.Washington is a man a will try to remember.

p3 WORLD GEOGRAPHY

Today in Mrs. Fowlkes class we had did a study guide. We had reviewed on the five themes of geography.We mostly talked about location.There are two types of location,absolute and relative location.Absolute location is the exact spot on earth where a place can be found.Relative location where it is in relation to others places.

P! World Geography

Objective: Students will explore the effects of climate and weather on people and the environment.
Today the groups presented their GISTs. We discussed what makes climates vary. We talked about the effects of ocean and wind currents. We read and discuss how weather reporters use satellites to predict weather patterns. We also talked about hurricanes and tropical cyclones. What did you learn from the activities of today? Today in MRS. Fowlkes class we had to go back over "THE FIVE THEMES OF GEOGRAPHY" THE five themes of geography are location,place,region,movement,and interaction.Location allows you to discuss places in the world in terms everyone can understand.Places can have human characteristics.A region is a group of places that have pysical fetures.Movement is when people,goods,and ideas move from one place to another.Interaction occurs because humans depend on,adapt to,and modify the world around them.This is all we got to today.

7 GRADE OBJECTIVE:Sudents will explore the climate &plant life of the worlds natural regions............ Today in .Mrs.Fowlkes class we did fodables of the ten natural regions of the world.the ten natural regions are:tropical rain forest,tropical grassland,mediterrean,temperature forest,cool forest,cool grassland,desert,tundra,artic,&high mountains.a natural region has its own unique combianation of plant and animal life and climate. I learned all about natural regions.

Today in Social Studies we started reading and researching for our school museum project. We read about what events led up to the Harlem Renaissance. It was a time after WWI when blacks began losing ground. They responded by fighting back and developing the ideals of PAN AFRICANISM. Marcus Garvy was a leader in this movement and he started the United Negro Improvement Association.Well I'm out. PEACE! I want you all to join my blog called PEACE ROCKS!

Today in Mrs.Fowlkes class some students had to complete there test.Then we studied some African American art.The test was simple to me because we got a chance to use our books.Some people are having a hard time taking the test even when using the book.Therefore this is the end of the lesson.

Today student completed an ARI reading strategy to read and further understand the development of human life and culture in Africa. They also created a visual image from the passage that they read. What do you remember about you passage? Did you create an image? What was the image?

P6 Anciant World History

Today students demonstrated their knowledge of prehistoric people and the development of agricultural villages. Tell me what you remembered about this? Was the mastery of fire or the emergence of spoken language more important in the process of human development?

P5 Ancient World History

Today we explored some of the history of Ancient Egypt by viewing and discussing the animated film, The Prince of Egypt. What did you notice about the architectural projects? What power did the Pharaoh have? What did they believe about God? What river was the baby found in?

P4 World Geography

Hello Bloggers!! How was your experience today? Students used a reading strategy called a GIST (generating interaction between student and text) to read and report information about our planet earth and its relationship with the sun.
